Here Comes Santa Claus

 Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
are pulling on the reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing;
All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He's got a bag that is filled with toys
for the boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed, cover up your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight

Song Facts

Gene Autry wrote this song while remembering riding his world famous horse in the annual Hollywood Boulevard Christmas Parade. Seems Autry was just a few positions in front of Santa Claus in the parade. While he was riding, the kids could care less about Autry, they were screaming "Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus."
Santa will visit over 90 million homes on Christmas Eve. So to deliver all the presents how fast does his sleigh have to go? Santa's sleigh travels at the speed of light. That is about 186,282.4 miles per second or 671 million miles per hour!
